As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase organization and time‑management skills while building retailer relationships as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and ScheduleYour starting hourly pay rate will be $14.00 to $16.00 per hour depending on your skills and experience. You will receive paid training delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training. Hallmark part‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and more.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule. Average weekly hours are between 6‑7 hours per week
. Availability the week before and after major holidays (including weekends) is required
. Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is also required.
- Day‑to‑day engagement: Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products inside and outside the department. Use technology to communicate with supervisors, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Holiday support: Provide additional days and extended hours during peak demand around Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Work may be required on actual holidays, including weekends.
- Department resets: Participate in installations, fixture building, card department relocation, and section resets. Teams are notified at least two weeks in advance; assignments may include evenings or weekends.
- Team collaboration: Support fellow merchandisers in your territory when needed.
This is a physically demanding role requiring consistent push, pull, lift, and carry of cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and step ladders throughout the workday.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable operating a digital hand‑held device to view documents and interpret information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores on schedule.
