American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring TNCC, NIHSS, and 2+ years of ER experience.
Details- Emergency Department setting within a hospital
- 13-week assignment with 7P-7:30A night shift schedule
- Every other weekend required
- Call requirements apply
- Floating required as needed per hospital policy
- Uses Meditech documentation system
- Unit performs conscious sedation, participates in intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis protocols, stroke (tPA administration), and chest pain (heart alert) procedures
- Active TX RN license required (compact accepted, temporary license will not be accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department RN experience required
- CEN certification preferred
- Meditech experience preferred
- Strong teamwork and communication skills preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Provide emergency department nursing care across a range of acute and critical presentations including stroke, cardiac, and behavioral health cases
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
- Navy scrub color required for RNs with white, navy, or black undershirts/jackets only
- Dress code prohibits acrylic nails, long nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than ears, and requires body art to be covered when feasible
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Must complete Methodist Acknowledgement Form and adhere to floating and attendance policies
