American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring TNCC, NIHSS, and 2+ years of ER experience.

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• 13-week assignment with 7P-7:30A night shift schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Call requirements apply
• Floating required as needed per hospital policy
• Uses Meditech documentation system
• Unit performs conscious sedation, participates in intubations, behavioral health watch, sepsis protocols, stroke (tPA administration), and chest pain (heart alert) procedures

• Active TX RN license required (compact accepted, temporary license will not be accepted)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• CEN certification preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

• Provide emergency department nursing care across a range of acute and critical presentations including stroke, cardiac, and behavioral health cases
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
• Navy scrub color required for RNs with white, navy, or black undershirts/jackets only
• Dress code prohibits acrylic nails, long nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings other than ears, and requires body art to be covered when feasible
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Must complete Methodist Acknowledgement Form and adhere to floating and attendance policies
