Position OverviewThe Revenue Accountant will oversee revenue recognition and the full accounts receivable cycle within a manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with Sales, Operations, Shipping, and Customer Service to ensure accurate invoicing, timely collections, and compliance with accounting standards

- Recognize revenue in accordance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15
- Review sales orders, shipping documentation, and customer terms
- Maintain and reconcile revenue accounts (returns, rebates, discounts, allowances)
- Account for variable considerations including rebates, pricing adjustments, and chargebacks
- Support month-end close (accruals, cut‑off testing, variance analysis)
- Oversee invoicing accuracy tied to shipment activity and contracts
- Manage customer accounts (cash application, collections, dispute resolution)
- Monitor AR aging and reduce exposure to credit risk
- Investigate billing discrepancies (pricing, freight, tax, quantities)
- Partner with credit teams on policy enforcement
- Align with Shipping, Logistics, and Order Management on revenue timing
- Ensure ERP data accuracy between shipping and billing
- Support inventory‑related billing issues, returns, and warranty tracking
- Prepare AR aging, DSO metrics, and revenue trend reports
- Analyze customer payment behavior to improve cash flow
- Support revenue and cash forecasting
- Maintain internal controls across billing and receivables
- Support audit requirements (internal and external)
- Ensure compliance with company policies and SOX, if applicable
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Required 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting and/or AR
- Manufacturing or product‑based environment experience preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or similar)
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of revenue recognition and shipping terms (FOB, Incoterms)
- Understanding of order‑to‑cash processes in manufacturing
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
Preferred
- Experience with high‑volume invoicing and complex pricing structures
- Exposure to EDI billing, chargebacks, or large customer compliance
- Experience with automation or process improvements in AR
- High‑impact role partnering across key business functions
