Kier + Wright Runner / Office Assistant
Kier + Wright is seeking a reliable Runner / Office Assistant to support daily operations across multiple departments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on and administrative tasks, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is comfortable assisting wherever needed. Responsibilities will vary day-to-day and may include both office-based support and field-related errands.
This is a part-time (25 hours) office assistant/runner for our Livermore office to work from 8:00am - 1:00/30pm Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities- Provide general support across departments on an as-needed basis, assisting with a variety of operational and administrative tasks
- Perform pickups and deliveries between offices, jobsites, City agencies, vendors, and local suppliers
- Assist with transporting materials, equipment, and supplies (e.g., survey gear, documents, office items)
- Support office organization and upkeep, including restocking supplies, maintaining common areas, and assisting with workspace setup or breakdown
- Help coordinate and facilitate basic logistics such as equipment drop-offs, vendor interactions, or service appointments
- Assist with light facilities support, including organizing storage areas, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and functional work environment
- Occasionally support field teams by delivering materials or assisting with basic site-related tasks
- Provide general assistance with special projects, events, or office needs as they arise
- Other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record – 5 years of documented driving experience
- Must be age 21 or over to meet business automobile insurance requirements.
- Ability to safely drive a large vehicle in high-traffic environments.
- Professional communication skills interacting with staff, clients, vendors.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy items, up to 50lbs.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills w/ ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, highly preferred.
