Senior Estimator - Electrical Construction

We are seeking a skilled Estimator/Estimating Manager with expertise in utility and traffic related electrical construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring timely project delivery and budget compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical construction projects.
• Review project plans and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for estimating.
• Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to produce competitive bids.
• Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and conditions.
• Maintain a database of historical costs for future reference and benchmarking.
• Assist in the development of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, and codes.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with conceptual estimating is a plus.
