The Box Office Associate is primarily responsible for the processing of single ticket sales, subscription orders, subscription exchanges, and gift cards in the ticket office, which includes sales via walk-up, phone, email, and mail orders.
Responsibilities:- Maintains good customer relations and service
- Processes single subscription and group sales at the box office
- Processes memberships and donations
- Processes subscription ticket exchanges and donated tickets for box office patrons
- Provides information to patrons in person and over the phone concerning performance and ticket policies
- Assists the Marketing Department as needed
- Works flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Any other duties needed to help drive the organization’s vision, mission, and abide by the organization's values.
- One or more years of computerized ticketing expertise (preferred but training provided)
- Knowledge of Patron Manager (Salesforce) or other ticketing software (preferred)
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Previous experience handling financial transactions
- Ability to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer
- Strong interest in and/or appreciation for the arts
- Work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Learn and follow safety procedures
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Strong customer service and communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general computer literacy.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
