Job Responsibilities
Lam is excited to have an opening in the Supply Chain organization in the Plasma Generation and Power Supplies fields, at the crossroad of New Product Introduction (partnering with R&D) and Productization (working with internal Lam development and Program management teams, and partnering with outside suppliers).
In order to maintain and improve our leadership in Etch and Deposition Semiconductor Equipment, Lam is constantly innovating in advanced power delivery with a variety of techniques, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to exert broad influence in the development of those novel systems. We are looking for a passionate multi-disciplinary individual with expertise in the different areas below
- High-voltage Power Supplies and high-power analog power generation (RF and non-RF)
- High-power PCBA design and manufacturing
- Systems Engineering basics: general knowledge in
- Electro-mechanical assembly and component integration
- Calibration and test process best practices
- How to apply
FW/SW/Communications & Controls in complex device operations for fast switching
- Expertise in Reliability Engineering, design-for-reliability (e.g., Reliability Block Model, Accelerated-Life Testing, Fault Insertion, Weibull analysis)
- Experience specifying and qualifying automated assembly and test equipment
Experience in the Semiconductor Equipment field and some knowledge of (or ability to learn) power/plasma interactions are a big plus.
There will be also the opportunity to work in Supplier Management on Power Supplies and other advanced OEM designs, and be the point person at the interface between our Account Teams at customer sites, our internal Product Group partners, and the Quality Control and Engineering teams at the OEM suppliers.
This specific position will be based either in Tualatin, OR, working on leading-edge equipment for the production of the most advanced chips in the world.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Masters/PhD preferred)
- >8 years experience with DC Power Supplies, Analog high-power RF, PCBA Manufacturing/Designs, and IC knowledge (hands-on expertise). Some design experience is much preferred (analog and digital circuitry)
- Apply skills and experience with semiconductor manufacturing and equipment to technical and quality problems encountered in the product life cycle with special attention to new product introduction of novel power source designs
- Understand RF & DC testing, and Test Fixture management is key: proper testing and validation of such devices is essential for successful repeatable deployment, and thus partnering with our design team and the suppliers to design, implement and maintain state-of-the-art test fixtures is fundamental to success. Understanding test qualification, gauge studies, SPC management plan, preventative maintenance, etc. are a plus for the role
- Apply Product and Systems Engineering approaches to understand and resolve problems with equipment functionality, component quality and reliability, design and application margin, and in supplier quality systems
