Civil Estimator

Job Location:

Livermore, CA Salary: $150K-$200K+ Requirements: 8+ Years of civil estimating experience. Experience estimating Water Treatment Plants, underground utilities including water, sewage, and pump station projects.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for civil engineering projects, including utilities, grading, earthwork, water, sewer, storm, pump stations, and treatment plants. This role is critical in ensuring project feasibility and profitability through detailed assessment and analysis of project requirements and costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates for civil engineering projects.
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to develop accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Assess labor, material, and equipment costs for various construction projects.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process.
  • Review and update estimates based on project changes or new information.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions with clients and stakeholders to clarify project details and expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and standards during the estimating process.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an estimator in civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control processes.
  • Familiarity with utilities, grading, earthwork, water, sewer, storm, pump stations, and treatment plants.
  • Proficient in using estimating software and tools.
