Support all Project Engineering tasks. Provide support to Systems Engineers and System Designers in performing hardware and software engineering activities. Create, monitor and edit engineering spreadsheets. Review project documentation and support engineers in deciphering data. Provide customers with the highest level of service to solve engineering inefficiencies and resolve related items. As a trusted advisor to customers, you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.
HowYou Will Do It
- Prepare and maintain engineering spreadsheets relating to hardware and software deliverables.
- Support Hardware & Software Engineers in the creation of hardware and software submittals.
- Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
- Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation.
- Document changes and provide information for as‑built documentation.
- Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training. Have a high degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure engineering runs efficiently.
- Provide documentation to support recommendations and solutions.
What we look for
- Vocational School four‑year program or an Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field plus three years of industry experience, or one year experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
- General knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
- Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
- Ability to explain technical information to technical and non‑technical people. Leadership skills to support the activities of mechanics working on non‑complex, non‑critical building automation equipment on a job site.
- PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $22.79–$34.24 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package.
