Security Guard

To help aid in the creation of this new casino culture, Parkwest Casino is looking to hire a security guard. Our Security Guards are responsible for providing a safe environment by ensuring the security of the casino, employees and the guests.

A successful Security Guard will possess keen observation skills and understand the basic card room games while demonstrating a high level of customer service to various personality types from multiple cultures.

• Valid BSIS Guard Card
• Ability to operate a surveillance system quickly and effectively
• Ability to write an accurate and detailed report
• Ability to count chips accurately with a limited number of mistakes
• Exceptional guest service skills; commit to high standards of customer service
• Availability to work any shift, including weekends, nights, and holidays
• High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent
• Open availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be 21 years old or older
• Valid California Guard Card
• Current California gambling establishment employee permit, badge, or license
• Proof of U.S. employment eligibility
• Must pass a mandatory drug test, criminal background, and credit check

• Ability to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 100 pounds
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, and bend at the neck for six or more hours a day
• Repetitive use of hands for actions such as grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, pulling, and reaching throughout the shift
• Potential exposure to excessive noise, dust, gases, flames, chemicals, extreme temperatures, humidity, or wetness
• Ability to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation
