Department Overview

Card Services manages all Fremont Bank Debit Card processing, Debit Card Parameters for Debit Cards, ATM Machines, Fiserv EFT Card Processing, Rewards Platform, Mastercard relationship and Risk Management.

Position Overview

Card Services Representative is responsible for timely and accurate execution of all functions as they relate to processing of debit/credit cards and ATM driving.

Role and Responsibilities

* Research, process and administer to full resolution all Card Services functions generated by inquiries from internal/external clients within established service level standards

* New card processing and card maintenance

* Process Instant Issuance card production and monitor the card stock

* Review daily reports for accuracy of customer and product information and perform quality checks on debit card portfolio

* Process lost/stolen card reports and order replacement cards

* Post, reconcile and research exception transactions associated with account adjustments and ATM cash vault balancing

* Assist with auxiliary products/services inquiries from the branches and Call Center
- Digital Wallets, Card Valet, text alerts etc.

* Troubleshoot and resolve debit card processing issues with emphasis on Client Experience

* Work directly with Fremont Bank Fraud Team to minimize and mitigate potential losses

* Accept and process dispute/chargeback cases in compliance with Master Card/Visa rules and Reg E guidelines

* Provide backup assistance in understaffed situations and work with the team to ensure all departmental duties and goals are met

* Comply with applicable federal, state, local, government regulations and adhere to the debit/credit card brand guidelines

* Recommend change to improve processes and resolve recurring variances

* Is self-motivated and willing assumes additional responsibilities, and special assignments

* Supports upcoming ATM installation projects across the entire network.

* Assists with tasks related to the debit card reward program.

* Provides support for the debit card interchange program.

Minimum Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent

* 1 year of debit Card Services related experience

* 1 year of Client Service experience in a financial institution

* Must possess strong problem-solving skills

* MS Word, Excel, and Outlook proficient

* Working knowledge of Reg E as it relates to debit card disputes

* Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions

* Solid written and verbal/telephone communication skills

* Ability to work independently, efficiently and possess strong organizational and prioritization skills

* Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to change

* Must have working knowledge of Visa/Master Card regulations and chargeback processes
