Your Purpose

You will be responsible for the daily activities of the Vehicle Titling department to ensure that all organizational, operational and efficiencies goals are achieved, insuring Collateral Loans are secured within credit union guidelines, while providing exceptional financial services for our union members.

What You'll Do

To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily under indirect supervision:

  • Effectively maintains the Vehicle Titling system and ensures all liens are perfected and released as required. Maintain appropriate management reporting for outstanding titles, aging items, title exceptions, system activity, dealer-related issues, access verification, and other key operational metrics.
  • Perfects member’s interest and secures credit union lien position on loans collateralized by a vehicle.
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of current DMV regulations and procedures
  • Ensure proper completion of out-of-state title transactions, research title discrepancies, complete forms and provide follow-up.
  • Process special or unusual titling requests to meet members’ needs by researching, completing, and submitting forms. Manage the daily activities, workflow, and priorities of the Vehicle Titling department to ensure organizational, operational, service, and efficiency goals are achieved.
  • Actively participates in the on-going departmental and procedure development designed to meet Credit Union needs. Seeks to continually improve the member experience through use of technology and efficient process.
  • Responsible for adherence to policy, compliance with state and federal regulations, and assists with development of lending process, programs, and procedures.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues from across departments and branches to deliver optimal and efficient service to our members. Uphold a standard of professionalism actively fostering positive relationships internally and externally. Serve as the subject matter resource for branches, Collections, Lending, dealerships, vendors, and other internal and external business partners regarding vehicle titling and lien-perfection requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the credit union’s products and services, ensuring compliance with applicable Federal and State laws, Credit Union banking regulations, and OE Federal Credit Union’s policies and procedures and current promotions.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess

  • Associates degree in an applicable field AND minimum 4 years of work experience in a similar role OR High School Diploma/GED AND minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role required.
  • Strong communication (verbal/written), negotiation and presentation skills; ability to effectively interact with all levels of’ internal and external business partners.
  • Strong member service, relationship, organizational, analytical and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
