This critical position requires a passionate, driven leader who will architect and deliver strategic directions to the organization's supply chain, ensuring the company is positioned to be a winner in a complex, fast paced, highly competitive industry. Initial focus will be to architect commodity supply chain to support a growing global business with a high degree of complexity. This includes aligning resources, prioritizing strategies, establishing targets, and implementing growth and cost initiatives that support the broader business strategy.
This position resides within the Global Operations Supply Chain organization and reports to the head of Strategic Commodities. Location of the position will be in Livermore, CA and will include worldwide travel.
Responsibilities- Develop a 3-year vision, strategy and organizational structure for assigned commodities.
- The strategy should enhance competitive differentiation and address commodity availability, quality, and cost.
- Your focus area will be managing commodities that include OEM parts.
- You will be responsible for architecting and delivering a complete end-to-end strategy that supports company's 3-year horizon:
- Supplier selection (Expansion & consolidation) that meet business needs.
- Deliver & focus supplier investments (R&D & capacity expansions) that are aligned with Lam's needs.
- Responsible for commercial negotiation that result in achieving annual objectives for cost, quality, lead time & flexibility.
- Execute the vision and implement the strategy by gaining executive alignment and motivating and engaging the workforce to fulfill the vision.
- Lead sourcing negotiations.
- Drive business processes that enable effective prioritization and facilitate faster customer solutions.
- Provide inspired leadership and direction to the global supply chain organization.
- Continue to build and develop a world class supply chain.
- Instill a culture of quality and discipline into all of our suppliers.
- Build and maintain a strong supply chain to support company's ramping demand.
- Manage supplier relationships to deliver negotiated value.
- Develop strong, collaborative and effective relationships with the internal product groups.
- Make decisions under pressure, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Successfully operate across boundaries and prioritize the activities of the organization to achieve best in class results.
- Develop and present meaningful and impactful messages to a wide array of audiences:
Leadership, Global Supply Chain, Suppliers and Customers.
- Bachelor's degree and/or MBA in Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations, Engineering, or related degree.
- 10 years of working experience.
- 7+ years of working experience in the Semiconductor Equipment industry is a plus.
- Strong experiences in negotiating various types of contractual agreements.
- Strong SAP experience.
- Experience working with global suppliers.
- Demonstrated experience working successfully in a matrix organization.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience giving presentations and interaction with director reports, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership.
- Proficient on Excel and Power Point.
