Senior Buyer

The Senior Buyer is responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, packaging, equipment, and supplies to support manufacturing operations. This role drives supplier performance, cost savings, inventory optimization, and on-time delivery while partnering closely with production, planning, quality, finance, and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities for raw materials, packaging, and operational supplies.
• Analyze MRP requirements and issue purchase orders to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost savings and strengthen supplier partnerships.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and inventory levels to meet business objectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support production schedules, resolve supply issues, and implement sourcing strategies.
• Review and maintain procurement documentation, including BOM changes, specifications, SDSs, CoAs, and inventory reports.
• Research new suppliers, materials, and cost-saving opportunities to improve supply chain performance.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 3-5 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience in manufacturing environments; cosmetics, food, or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MRP, inventory management, and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 7 AM to 3:30 PM with overtime required.
