Assembly Technician
As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing mechanical assembly and repairs, fabricating basic sheet metal components, and using various hand and power tools to shape and assemble metal parts. You will read and interpret blueprints or work orders to determine specifications, accurately measure and mark dimensions, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Routine maintenance of fabrication tools and collaborative work with team members to meet deadlines are essential aspects of this role.
Responsibilities- Perform mechanical assembly and repairs as needed.
- Fabricate basic sheet metal components using shears, brakes, and other metalworking equipment.
- Use hand and power tools such as grinders, drills, and saws to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or work orders to determine project specifications.
- Accurately measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform routine maintenance on fabrication tools and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and project deadlines.
- Proven experience as an Assembly/Production Technician or in a similar role.
- Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in a related field is a plus).

Work EnvironmentThe work environment includes a mix of climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled warehouse settings. You will engage with varied lab and industrial equipment, some of which require special handling. Occasionally, you may assist with off-site pickups or relocations involving rigging or transport coordination.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Livermore, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
