Job ResponsibilitiesSchedule functional areas to achieve optimal usage on machines. Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications. Direct setup and adjustment of machines. Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations. Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of shop, department, or work crew. Maintain time and production records. Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
Bachelor's degree in Machine Tool Technologies or equivalent work experience. 8-10 years of work-related experience. 3-5 years of trade school, vocational education, or four years of formal apprenticeship (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Comprehensive knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD&T. Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices. Extensive knowledge of CNC programming. Demonstrated ability at operating computer numerical control machines.
Ability to read blueprints to ensure accuracy in part making. Ability to speak basic English language.
