HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACTThe Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Supervisor is responsible for leading and administering Environmental, Health, and Safety programs to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture across the site.
This role supports the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) and EHS compliance programs by implementing established policies, maintaining compliance documentation, and ensuring audit readiness across site operations. The position also supports ESG and product compliance requirements through data collection, validation, and reporting using the
Assent platform. ESG strategy, governance, and enterprise reporting ownership remain centrally managed.
The EHS Supervisor serves as the site's primary safety resource and partners closely with Operations, Facilities, Quality, Engineering, Human Resources, and site leadership to integrate EHS requirements into daily operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Reporting:
Functionally aligned to Integrated Management Systems; operationally supports site leadership (Facilities/Operations as applicable).
- Lead site Environmental, Health and Safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental compliance plans, policies, procedures, and safety programs.
- Ensure all required permits, registrations, inspections, and regulatory reporting requirements are maintained and completed on time.
- Conduct facility inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Investigate accidents, injuries, near misses, and hazardous conditions and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and deliver EHS training and safety awareness programs.
- Monitor and enforce the proper use of safety equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain safety records, compliance documentation, and audit-ready files.
- Serve as chairperson or leader of site safety initiatives and promote employee engagement in safety programs.
- Coordinate contractor safety activities and support emergency preparedness, drills, and response planning.
- Support the Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain readiness for internal, external, customer, and regulatory audits related to EHS compliance requirements.
- Support ESG and product compliance data collection, validation, and reporting through the Assent platform. Enterprise ESG reporting ownership remains centrally managed.
- Maintain compliance data related to REACH, RoHS, TSCA, PFAS, CMRT, EMRT, CBAM, and other applicable customer and regulatory requirements.
- Respond to customer and regulatory compliance requests and ensure the accuracy and completeness of compliance submissions in coordination with Corporate Quality, ESG and Compliance functions, as appropriate.
- Partner with Operations, Facilities, Engineering, and Quality to integrate EHS requirements into daily processes, projects, and process changes.
- Support compliance related to chemical management, materials handling, and environmental controls.
- Provide EHS metrics, risk assessments, compliance updates, and recommendations during Management Review activities.
- Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives based on audit findings, compliance trends, and operational risks.
- Stay informed of changing regulatory requirements and recommend actions necessary to maintain compliance.
- Support implementation of enterprise ESG, sustainability, product compliance, and regulatory compliance initiatives at the site level through data collection, supplier engagement, compliance execution, and employee awareness activities.
