Responsibilities
  • Initiate, establish, and build profitable HVAC service relationships with new customers.
  • Focus on selling renewable maintenance agreements as the core business model.
  • Operate within an assigned geographic territory as part of a local branch office team.
  • Use sales tools to plan, document progress, and increase opportunities, closing business on a monthly basis.
  • Identify, target, and qualify prospective new customers, unlocking new leads through market conditions and networks.
  • Contact prospects, schedule appointments, and build a referral network.
  • Conduct sales calls to identify key issues and consult with facility directors on heating, cooling, ventilation, and control systems.
  • Propose solutions that highlight digital service offerings, sustainability, and decarbonization.
  • Review and finalize proposals, securing customer commitment to Johnson Controls solutions.
  • Lead customer kick‑off meetings, resolve issues, and maintain service agreements.
  • Support service agreement extensions and collections processes.
  • Keep management informed of progress and account status using Salesforce.
  • Develop and implement territory marketing plans aligned with the company strategy.
  • Attend and present at trade shows and professional organizations.
  • Represent Johnson Controls professionally, upholding the highest standards of quality, pride, integrity, and performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Two to three years of progressive sales experience with proven results.
  • Strong technical knowledge and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to engage audiences in individual and group settings.
  • Experience selling services and intangibles.
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies, standards, and disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of building HVAC systems.
  • Post‑secondary education.
  • Experience in Salesforce.
