HVAC Service Technician
Location: Tri-Valley Area, CA
Full-Time Position
Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join a growing residential and light commercial HVAC team. This position is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing equipment, and providing customers with dependable solutions.
The HVAC Service Technician will perform diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance, and system start-ups while maintaining high standards for safety, workmanship, and customer service.
Compensation & Benefits- $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Perform preventive maintenance on heating and air conditioning equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigeration-related issues
- Identify system problems and recommend appropriate repair options
- Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, and related HVAC/R procedures
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, equipment specifications, and technical documentation
- Use meters, gauges, and other diagnostic equipment to accurately identify system issues
- Perform system start-up, testing, and commissioning as required
- Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records of work performed
- Communicate findings and repair recommendations clearly and professionally with customers
- Maintain compliance with applicable safety procedures, building codes, and industry standards
- Minimum 3 years of HVAC field experience in service, repair, maintenance, or installation
- Strong preference for candidates with hands-on HVAC service and diagnostic experience
- Experience with residential and/or light commercial HVAC systems
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- EPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred
- Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
