Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Service Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Livermore, CA. The Heavy Equipment Service Technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment to help keep job sites safe, productive, and operational. • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy construction and industrial equipment in field environments.
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine repairs to reduce equipment downtime.
• Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, and equipment performance checks according to service standards.
• Travel to customer or job site locations to assess equipment issues and complete repairs efficiently.
• Document service work, parts usage, repair findings, and maintenance recommendations accurately.
• Communicate professionally with service teams, supervisors, and site personnel regarding repair status and equipment needs.

• Salary range: $105,000 to $120,000 per year.

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment in field service environments.
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine troubleshooting.
• Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, and service documentation.
• Communicate repair status and equipment needs with service teams and site personnel.

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician, field service technician, diesel mechanic, or related equipment repair professional.
• Strong knowledge of heavy construction, industrial, or similar equipment maintenance and repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic systems, electrical systems, diesel engines, and mechanical components.
• Comfortable working independently at customer sites, job sites, or field locations.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to document repairs, parts usage, and service recommendations accurately.
• Professional communication skills and a safety‑focused approach to field service work.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to manage service priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

• Experience servicing construction, industrial, infrastructure, pipeline, or related heavy equipment.
• Prior mobile field service experience.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools, service software, and manufacturer repair procedures.
• Strong customer‑facing skills and the ability to represent the service team professionally in the field.
