Residential HVAC Installer Richard's Heating and Air Repair, Inc. Tri-Valley Area, CA - Sunol, Hayward, Livermore, Alamo, Pleasanton, Dublin & Surrounding Communities $30.00-$35.00 per hour | Full-Time Richard's Heating and Air Repair, Inc. is looking for a skilled Residential HVAC Installation Technician to join our field team.
For more than 25 years, our family-owned company has provided heating and cooling services throughout the Tri-Valley area. Our reputation has been built through quality workmanship, dependable service, and long-term relationships with our customers.
We're looking for an experienced installer who is comfortable taking ownership of residential replacement and installation projects from equipment removal through final start-up.
Compensation & Benefits $30.00-$35.00 per hour, based on experience

Your Role Complete residential HVAC equipment replacements and new system installations
Install air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, air handlers, and related components
Remove existing equipment and properly prepare areas for replacement systems
Install and modify refrigerant piping, condensate drains, gas piping, and electrical connections
Complete ductwork modifications and installation when required
Measure, fabricate, and fit sheet metal components for individual projects
Interpret equipment specifications, mechanical drawings, schematics, and installation plans
Properly evacuate and charge refrigeration systems
Perform equipment start-ups and commissioning
Verify airflow, temperatures, electrical operation, and overall system performance
Diagnose and correct installation-related problems
Ensure completed projects meet manufacturer specifications and applicable building codes
Maintain clean and professional work areas inside customers' homes
Protect customer property throughout the installation process
Track equipment, materials, and job information accurately
Complete required project documentation using Service Titan Experience & Qualifications2+ years of hands-on residential HVAC installation experience
Strong knowledge of complete residential system changeouts and installations
Ability to perform installation work with limited supervision
Experience with ductwork installation and modification
Understanding of refrigeration piping and proper refrigerant practices
Ability to read wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, and technical drawings
Strong mechanical aptitude and field troubleshooting ability
Plumbing, welding, and sheet metal fabrication experience is a plusEPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred
Service
Titan experience is helpful
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Professional communication skills when working in customers' homes
Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to safely lift, carry, and position HVAC equipment and materials
