Parker’s products move electrified vehicles and industrial machinery worldwide. This is a hands-on role as part of a small, highly skilled Engineering team.

The position requires strong communication skills, as it involves collaborating with Parker engineering sites in other regions.

This position requires in office at least four days per week.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Writing production-quality real-time embedded C and C++ for bare-metal and RTOS-based targets, including device drivers and CAN/CANopen, SPI, I2C, and UART interfaces.
  • Partnering with motor control and hardware engineers to realize control algorithms within real timing, memory, and processor constraints.
  • Debugging HW/SW interaction at the bench with JTAG debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic and protocol analyzers, from prototypes through customer returns.
  • Participating in software design, code, schematic, and project reviews.
  • Designing and running tests that verify the software against its requirements, including unit tests kept in automated regression.
  • Capturing and decomposing software requirements and maintain traceability through design, code, and test evidence using ALM tools.
  • Supporting CI/CD pipelines and Python-based test automation using Git and modern Dev Ops workflows.
  • Contributing to project success by delivering project milestones in a timely manner. Supports Parker’s WIN ovation strategy.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 4 to 6 years of related experience.

  • Demonstrated experience developing, integrating, and debugging firmware on microcontrollers, in bare-metal and/or RTOS environments.
  • Experience with board bring-up and hardware/software integration debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with embedded communication interfaces such as CAN, SPI, I2C, or UART.
  • Hands-on use of embedded debug tools and techniques: JTAG/SWD debuggers, emulators, in-circuit test, oscilloscopes, and logic or protocol analyzers.
  • Experience with modern embedded development environments, automated pipelines and workflows, including version control and CI/CD.
  • Has thorough knowledge of product area and domain and develops breadth of knowledge of industry practices, techniques, regulations, and policies.
  • Ability to work with general objectives regarding projects and team goals; applies judgment in selecting procedures and techniques that should be applied. Works collaboratively
