Position Summary- As an employee of Goodfellow Bros., you are expected to follow the Goodfellow Way, fully understanding, embracing and exemplifying our Mission and Vision statements as you carry out your job duties and responsibilities daily.
- Must be committed to take time to fully read and understand the expectations set forth in the Company Handbook.
- Supply trucking, materials, employees and equipment to job sites on a daily dispatch.
- Take dispatches from field personnel.
- Coordinate equipment moves.
- Locate and rent equipment for job sites.
- Order materials and trucking.
- Order transportation permits for transports.
- Notify personnel of start times and locations for next day.
- Process and enter dispatch information into the Dispatch Scheduler (HCSS Dispatch).
- Direct transport drivers on equipment moves, including outside transports.
- Communicating with employees regarding safety related concerns.
- Update employee, equipment, quarry, and vender phone lists.
- Maintain U.S.A's.
- Maintain water meters for job sites.
- Review drivers logs for driver's hours and for any service needs.
- Review Accounts Payable invoices for errors and correct them through the billing company.
- Checking and approving transportation time cards.
- Handle after hour calls regarding personnel, material and equipment needs.
- Maintain dispatch coverage according to the designated weekend on‑call rotation schedule.
- Heavy communication to include cell phones, E‑Mails, inter‑office phones, and voice mail systems.

- Candidates must have the legal right to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed, including participation in weekend on‑call rotation.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) for dispatch coordination, safety communication, and documentation.
- Dispatch experience (construction/heavy civil strongly preferred).
- Data entry experience in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment and construction trucking/materials.
- Familiarity with HCSS Dispatch Scheduler/HCSS Dispatcher.
- Knowledge of union operations.
