Location:
Will report to locations in Edwardsville, IL, Granite City, IL, and St. Peters, MO
Pay: $19.00 - $26.00/hr
Work Environment
This is a fully onsite position supporting fleet operations for a major client. The role involves managing vehicle fleets across multiple locations, coordinating with vendors and customers, and reporting operational updates to leadership. Candidates should be comfortable working both in an office setting and outdoors while inspecting vehicles and supporting fleet activities.

- Occasional weekend availability required
- Some holiday work may be required
- Standard business hours with flexibility based on operational needs
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $26.00/hr
Duration: 9 Month Contract-to-Hire

About the Role
This opportunity is ideal for individuals with fleet management, vehicle rental, logistics, or operations experience who enjoy working directly with customers and solving operational challenges. The Fleet Operations Coordinator will support day-to-day fleet activities, maintain strong client relationships, coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs, and help drive efficiencies across the fleet program.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and track fleet vehicle inventory
- Perform detailed pre-service and post-service vehicle inspections
- Coordinate vehicle washing, detailing, and cleaning activities
- Schedule maintenance, mechanical repairs, and body work with third-party vendors
- Ensure returned vehicles are properly fueled and ready for service
- Maintain accurate fleet records and documentation
- Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and fleet personnel
- Support customer accounts and address operational needs
- Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to enhance program performance
Required Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2+ years of fleet management, vehicle rental, or related operations experience
- Strong customer service and client support experience
- Experience coordinating vehicle maintenance and repair activities
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with data entry and recordkeeping
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain active throughout the workday
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.
