What you will get in your new role Salary from £38,000 to £40,000 per annum Subsidised staff accommodation (if required) Access to a meal on shift in the staff canteen Employee discounts and use of facilities Uniforms provided and laundered at the company's expense Ongoing training and development Responsibilities in your new role as Conference and Banqueting Operations Manager As the Banqueting Operations Manager, you'll ensure every event runs smoothly and delivers an exceptional guest experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of wedding, conferences and events Leading and supporting the banqueting team throughout each event Liaising with clients, event planners, suppliers, and hotel departments Attending planning meetings and client briefings Coordinating room set-up, service, and event breakdown Acting as the main point of contact for clients and VIP guests during events Delivering announcements and hosting events when required Managing and operating in-house AV equipment Maintaining function rooms, equipment, and storage areas to a high standard Handling last-minute requests and resolving issues professionally Ensuring exceptional customer service at every stage of the event Your personality, experience and qualifications You'll be a confident leader with a passion for delivering exceptional events and customer service.
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience in banqueting, events, or hospitality management Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills A hands-on, organised, and proactive approach The ability to perform well under pressure and solve problems quickly Strong time management and organisational skills Good commercial awareness Confidence communicating with clients, guests and colleagues A flexible approach and the ability to adapt to changing priorities A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences Apply now!
