We are looking for an experienced Catering Manager to lead a busy catering operation, ensuring high standards of food quality, service, safety and customer experience.

This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the operation, including team leadership, food safety and compliance, cost control, staffing and service standards. You will lead and develop the catering team, manage resources effectively and work closely with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders to keep the operation running smoothly.

You will also support menu planning and development, monitor costs and performance, and identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency and the overall customer experience.

• Lead, motivate and develop the catering team, setting clear standards and expectations.
• Manage the day-to-day catering operation, including staffing, attendance and workload.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, COSHH, Natasha's Law and allergen requirements.
• Maintain accurate records for food temperatures, storage, deliveries, labelling and other food safety controls.
• Monitor labour costs, budgets, stock and resources to ensure they are managed effectively.
• Complete relevant administration, including sales controls, financial reporting and operational records.
• Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, service and customer experience.
• Support menu development and maintenance within the EPOS system.
• Work closely with colleagues, suppliers and contractors to resolve issues and improve the operation.
• Support wider catering projects and introduce improvements where appropriate.
• Strong experience managing a team within a catering or hospitality environment.
• Experience working within a busy, fast-paced catering operation, ideally within a 24/7 environment.
• Level 3 Hygiene Certificate and Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
• Good knowledge of food safety, allergen management, COSHH and health & safety requirements.
• Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing team members.
• Good commercial awareness, including experience managing labour costs, budgets and resources.
• Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using food safety documentation, administrative processes and EPOS systems.
• A hands-on approach with the confidence to lead from the front.
