As the face of one of Liver pools most iconic luxury destinations you will play a key role in creating memorable first impressions managing reservations and ensuring every guest receives a seamless and personalised welcome from the moment they arrive. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT HOST AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY

What youll be doing...

Working closely with the Palm Court management team youllbe responsible for delivering a warm and exceptional guest arrival experience whilst ensuring the smooth coordination of reservations and table plans.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the first point of contact for guests visiting Palm Court delivering a professional warm and memorable welcome.
• Manage reservations through Res Diary ensuring all guest information preferences and special requests are recorded accurately.
• Escort guests to their tables and support a seamless arrival experience.
• Create and manage daily table plans to maximise guest flow and operational efficiency.
• Liaise closely with restaurant bar and kitchen teams to coordinate service and guest requirements.
• Manage waitlists walk-ins and booking amendments professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of menus afternoon tea offerings allergens and promotions.
• Communicate guest celebrations VIP arrivals and dietary requirements to the wider team.
• Support revenue opportunities through thoughtful recommendations and upselling of premium experiences where appropriate.
• Ensure the hosting station and guest arrival area remain immaculate and aligned with our luxury brand standards.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Previous experience in a hospitality guest service reception or host role would be advantageous.
• A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confidence managing reservations and working in a fast-paced environment.
• A professional and polished approach reflecting five-star service standards.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure whilst maintaining a warm and welcoming presence.
• Flexibility to work evenings weekends and peak seasonal periods.
• A positive team-focused attitude and a desire to contribute to a successful and supportive culture.
