Job Description & How to Apply Below
Looking for an opportunity to bridge laboratory innovation with pilot-scale manufacturing and make a real impact on clinical programs?
Proclinical is seeking a dedicated Scientist to focus on the development and optimization of downstream processes for biopharmaceutical and vaccine products. You will play a key role in bridging laboratory-scale experimentation with pilot plant operations, contributing to clinical programs and business milestones. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands‑on experience in downstream purification who are eager to take technical ownership of processes while collaborating with senior scientists.
Responsibilities:- Plan and execute laboratory and pilot-scale studies, focusing on downstream purification processes such as chromatography, filtration, and centrifugation.
- Utilize statistical tools (e.g., Design of Experiments) to design, analyze, and interpret complex data sets, making informed decisions to guide project direction.
- Author high-quality technical reports and documentation to ensure process knowledge is captured and transferable.
- Maintain compliance with GxP standards during experimental execution and documentation, adhering to safety protocols and established systems of work.
- Support laboratory housekeeping and monitor equipment readiness, including maintenance schedules and liaising with service providers.
- Provide regular updates on project progress to stakeholders and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines and technical standards.
- Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline.
- Hands-on experience in downstream process development or manufacturing within the biopharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency in downstream techniques such as chromatography (e.g., FPLC, AKTA systems), tangential flow filtration (TFF), and depth filtration.
- Familiarity with process scale-up and statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP software).
- Understanding of GxP standards and compliance requirements.
- Strong technical reporting and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
