Overview
Join a fast-moving engineering team working on cutting-edge control systems
We’re looking for a hands-on, practical Electrical Installation Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team delivering high-quality control systems for a key client base. If you enjoy site work, problem-solving, and seeing projects through from install to commission, this one’s for you.
The Role- Surveying, installing, commissioning, and supporting site-based control systems
- Strong electrical installation bias with some exposure to PLC programming (training provided)
- Panel wiring and fabrication as a core part of the role
- Working independently, in pairs, or as part of a wider engineering team
- Ensuring work is delivered to the highest standards and within agreed deadlines
- PREDOMINANTLY standard working hours, with flexibility required
- Regular site travel (typically within 3 hours)
- Overnight stays expected but capped at ~20% of the working week
- Hotels provided where travel exceeds 1.5 hours
- Monday–Thursday: 08:30–17:15
- Friday: 08:30–16:00
- 18th Edition (BS7671:2018)
- ECS Gold Card
- Background in electrical installation, service & support, or maintenance
- Essential experience in panel wiring and fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams
- Experience installing and commissioning equipment such as PLCs
- Exposure to EPlan, AutoCAD, or similar (advantageous)
- Minimum 2 years’ practical electrical experience
- Level 3 Electrical Installation (2365)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Clean UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
