AboutThe Role
We are looking for a Mobile Electrician to join the busy Liverpool branch. The role is Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, and includes working an on‑call rota.
The Mobile Electrician will maintain, install, service, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment between branches and customer sites in a safe, professional, and efficient manner.
Essential qualifications include an ECS Gold Card or the relevant qualifications in Electrical Installations to obtain an ECS Gold Card. Candidates must be a JIB Qualified Electrician and meet the requirements to obtain an ECS Gold Card.
Preferred:
Knowledge of the 18th edition of the I.E.E. Regulations.
Please note:
This role is subject to a safety‑critical medical.
- Carry out electrical installation work efficiently in accordance with the current I.E.E. Regulations for Electrical Installations, and the Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
- Maintain, install, service and repair electrical/mechanical pump sets within the hire fleet and customer units to the required legislative standards.
- Produce reports and estimates for repair set units and advise on safety issues as necessary.
- Ensure Risk Assessment/Method Statements are adhered to.
- Adhere to site‑specific Health & Safety procedures.
- Accept responsibility for the proper completion of jobs.
- Update relevant databases to ensure accuracy of the information.
- Maintain excellent internal and external customer relations, displaying politeness, respect, and co‑operation with staff, customers, and the public. Act as an ambassador of Selwood Limited, promoting the company brand, products and image.
- Communicate accurately to line managers, colleagues and customers regarding job specifications (e.g., ETA, missing or damaged items). Obtain signatures, full name, date, and times when delivering and collecting.
- Ensure branded work clothing is worn at all times and comply with PPE requirements set by Selwood or specific customer site regulations.
- Carry out any specific tasks as detailed by the line manager in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Participate in call‑outs for the branch as part of the call‑out rota.
- JIB Qualified Electrician.
- Ability to obtain an ECS Gold Card.
