Join our AA Trainee Vehicle Mechanic development programme and fine-tune your expertise with ongoing support and training. The programme is designed for aspiring trainee vehicle mechanics seeking to become fully competent AA patrols.

• Duration: 18-month journey covering the latest automotive technologies with workshops led by in-house training experts.
• Mentorship:
  Pairing with a seasoned patrol expert for one‑on‑one guidance.

  Practical on‑the‑job experience.
• Certification:
  Earn IMI and EV certifications.
• Compensation:
  Paid from the moment you get in your van to the moment you get home. Sign‑on locations available for discussion.
• Flexibility:

• Equipment:
  Van, full uniform, boots and equipment provided.

• Some experience in vehicle maintenance, repair and customer service.
• Full category B driving licence with 6 points or less. Category BE (towing) can be funded if not held.
• Willingness to work shifts, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

• MOT Tester, Panel Beater, Fast Fit Mechanic, Roadside Technician (Tyre, Key Assist), Apprentice (Level
  2), Marine Mechanic, Railway Worker, HGV/RO Driver, Ex‑Military Personnel, Agricultural Mechanic, Motorbike Mechanic, Aerospace Technician, Vintage Car Restorer.

Robust customer interaction, diagnosis and repair of vehicle systems, application of knowledge in real‑world scenarios, and upholding AA standards of service and safety.
