Resident Engineer

We are currently looking for a Resident Engineer to work at our client site, Jaguar Land Rover at Halewood in Liverpool. You will be part of a skilled team undertaking servicing and repairs on a range of forklift trucks and other material handling equipment.

We are looking for vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers who have experience working as a forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, vehicle technician or a similar type of role. Experience with in plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners may make this role perfect for you.

Working with everything from small pallet trucks to IC trucks, VNA trucks and automated trucks, you will be required to find, diagnose, and rectify faults and undertake preventative maintenance on Linde forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer site.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Hydraulics.
• Ideally an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification – not essential.
• IT literate and able to use latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good communication skills to liaise with customers and internal colleagues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Take pride in work and complete tasks to the highest standard.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Positive and can‑do attitude.
• Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the role.
• Desire to be a Linde brand ambassador.
