Location:

Yorkshire region, home based remote mobile working. We have an exciting opportunity for a HV Electrician to join us in the Maintenance department and be a part of helping us give the very best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Work type:

Permanent. You’ll be working 37 hours per week. Out of hours, weekend working, and bank holidays will be worked as part of a structured stand-by rota. Once fully trained you will be assessed for working on your own and you will be required to participate in an out of hours standby rota which will include evenings, weekends, and overnight callouts. (Which will be no more than 1 week in every
4).

Where you fit in:

As our HV Electrician you will be responsible for the completion of Planned and Reactive Electrical tasks within timescale, quality and cost parameters. Able to manage and prioritise your own workload in line with business requirements and the Working Time Directive, you will also:

  • Proactively identify and report any follow-on work or areas for enhancement.
  • Work unsupervised in remote geographic locations, taking part in a standby rota as required.
  • Specify parts and equipment required for procurement as part of your day-to-day role.
  • Ensure you minimise risk to people and equipment by leaving adequate handover information for colleagues who may be asked to complete any work.
  • Build and maintain relationships with operational customers, colleagues, suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Demonstrate financial awareness when making day to day business decisions, identifying ways to improve value and service delivery.
  • Drive excellent Health and Safety (H&S) behaviours in relation to policy and standards, identifying H&S improvements across any areas that have an impact on your role and the role of others.
