The role covers commercial gas-fired heating appliances and systems, plumbing, heating distribution, air handling units and associated ventilation equipment. Commercial gas experience and current relevant commercial gas qualifications are essential.

* Identify additional defects and remedial works, providing clear recommendations, photographs and information for quotations.
* Communicate progress, delays, access issues, safety concerns and changes in scope promptly; liaise professionally with clients and colleagues.
* Maintain company tools, test equipment, materials and any company vehicle in a clean, safe and serviceable condition. Participate in the outof-hours or call-out rota.
Essential qualifications and experience
* Relevant mechanical, plumbing, heating or building services apprenticeship, or equivalent recognised qualification.
* Proven practical experience servicing, maintaining and faultfinding on commercial gas-fired appliances and commercial heating systems.

* Eligible to undertake the relevant commercial gas work under our Gas Safe registration, subject to verification of qualifications and scope before any gas work is allocated.
* Practical plumbing and heating maintenance, installation and faultfinding experience, including pumps, valves and distribution pipework.
* Experience maintaining AHIJs and ventilation fans, or willingness to develop competence in this area.
* Full UK driving licence and ability to travel between client sites; willingness to complete appropriate DBS checks where required for client premises.
Additional desirable experience

* Experience working in schools, hospitals or other occupied commercial premises; relevant asbestos awareness, water hygiene, manual handling and workingat-height training.

Reports must record the reason for attendance, checks and work completed, equipment details, readings and test results where relevant, system condition, outstanding defects, recommended follow-on work, parts required, photographs, labour and materials used.
