Installation Technician

Based in Livingston, this temporary Installation Technician role with Manpower UK involves fitting and removing modular buildings and associated apparatus at client locations. The successful candidate supervises lifting tasks, guaranteeing compliance with safety rules and industry standards. Reporting to the Installation Manager while aiding Project Managers, the technician ensures smooth project handovers and client satisfaction. During gaps between site assignments, duties shift to upkeep tasks or helping within the service hub.

Essential abilities include electrical improvement, coordination of heavy machinery, and a solid grasp of health and safety legislation. The contract is ongoing long-term, with negotiable pay. Electrical Improver/Installation Technician Livingston Temporary - Long term ongoing work

Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance. Follow all company policies, procedures, and legal requirements. Report incidents, hazards, and environmental issues promptly. Participate in safety observations, site inspections, and risk reduction activities. Promote a positive safety culture across all projects.

Install and remove modular units and associated equipment on customer sites. Work in accordance with RAMS, Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), SOPs, and site-specific procedures. Deliver projects in line with agreed plans and project requirements. Complete customer handovers and obtain sign-off on completed installations. Assess units before collection, recording any damage and obtaining customer confirmation.

Ensure all work meets regulatory standards, quality requirements, and customer expectations. Carry out quality checks throughout installation activities.

Ensure the correct use and care of tools, equipment, and materials. Maintain vehicle stock levels and report shortages when required. Ensure all equipment is inspected and fit for purpose.

Use handheld devices and internal systems to record work completed, update job progress, and communicate with customers. Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.

Represent the company professionally on customer sites. Maintain excellent working relationships with customers and site teams. Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.

• CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card (NVQ Level 2 minimum).
• Slinger/Signaller qualification.
• ECS, IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Lift Supervisor qualification desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.
• Basic IT skills and willingness to use handheld technology.
