• Teaching Freshman Composition and Sophomore and Upper-Level Literature courses.
• Serve on departmental, college, and University committees.
• Fulfill other responsibilities, such as advising and mentoring students, conducting scholarly research, aiding in student retention, and participating in University and community service.

Effective Date: August 2026

• PhD in English with a focus on American Literature from an accredited institution.
• Strong commitment to teaching, student success, and evidence of teaching excellence in undergraduate-level courses in literature and composition.
• Ability to work successfully with diverse populations in the regional university setting.
• Demonstrated potential in research and publication.
• Ability to teach courses in other subfields of literature and composition, such as technical writing, methods of teaching secondary education, etc.
• Experience in teaching online courses.
