The Load Planner is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Livingston, MT, responsible for coordinating the efficient movement of equipment and materials to support field operations. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include planning loads, sequencing shipments, and optimizing routes to meet project schedules and safety requirements. This role collaborates closely with operations, drivers, and project managers to confirm load details, verify documentation, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
The Load Planner monitors delivery timelines, adjusts plans for changing conditions, and communicates updates to internal teams and external partners. Additional tasks include maintaining accurate records in logistics systems, assisting with cost control related to transportation, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in load planning and supply chain processes.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Planning abilities to coordinate loads, optimize routes, and support project timelines.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication and Customer Service skills to work with drivers, project teams, and external partners in a clear, professional manner.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Supply Chain Management or logistics processes to manage material flows, scheduling, and transportation coordination.
- Relevant experience in load planning, dispatch, transportation, or field logistics in construction, energy, or related industries is beneficial, but will train the right candidate.
- Proficiency with scheduling or logistics software, Microsoft Office tools, and basic data entry is preferred.
- Ability to work on‑site in Livingston, MT or Toledo, OH. Manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, and uphold safety and compliance standards is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in logistics, supply chain, or business are a plus.
