Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU-Based Float Pool – Northern New Jersey

Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Northern New Jersey
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday); facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period

Highlights:

• NICU-based float pool position supporting a 56-bed Level III NICU, PICU, Pediatrics, and Newborn Nursery units
• Regional Perinatal Center caring for 1,200+ premature and critically ill newborns annually
• 597-bed major teaching hospital affiliated with a leading medical school
• Epic charting system utilized throughout facility
• Patient ratios typically 1:2 based on acuity and unit assignment
• Appropriate patient assignments provided based on clinical skill set when floating

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1.5 years of documented NICU Level III and PICU experience
• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Epic charting experience required
• At least one supervisory reference required at time of submission
• Clinical competencies include: A-line management, central line/implanted line care, UAC/UVC, IV vasopressors, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), dysrhythmia interpretation/management, feedings (bottle, breast, gavage), placement/management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome management
• Must be willing to work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) as needed
• Flexibility to float between NICU Level III, PICU, Pediatrics, and Newborn Nursery without exception
