Requirements Essential Functions
  • Work collaboratively with local branches to generate new membership and program leads through hands-on grassroots business development efforts, including community tabling, outreach, and participation in community and corporate partner events during weekdays, evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed.
  • The role requires meeting a minimum number of community and corporate partner events, asestablishedby the Senior Director of Business Development and Operational Compliance, while actively supporting lead generation, sales efforts, and execution of association business development plans.
  • Conduct market research toidentifynew business development opportunities and understand the local market competition.
  • Travel throughout the Association’s service areas to meet with potential membership and/or program partners.
  • Collaborate withthe Marketing and Communications team to develop marketing messages and resources to support the membership and program growth strategy.
  • Participate in and support the Annual Campaign.
  • Participate in workshops,trainings and seminars that will enhance professional growth.
  • Demonstrate and model the YMCA’s four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
  • Perform such other job-related duties as may be periodically assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to branch and association staff on lead management best practices, including lead capture, follow-up, and conversion standards.
  • Ensure all leads are accurately entered, tracked, andmaintainedin Hub Spot or another designated lead management system oranother lead management systemdesignatedby the Senior Director of Business Development and Operational Compliance,and conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Develop and distribute monthly KPI reports related to lead generation, conversion, and follow-up performance, and partner with leadership to address trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Build andmaintainrelationships with community organizations, schools, municipalities, and employer partners to support ongoing outreach, referrals, and corporate engagement opportunities.
  • Support presales, new facility openings, and major initiatives by coordinating outreach activities, staffing events, and capturing and managing leads during high-volume campaigns.
  • Manage all aspects of the organization’s mascot (Pickle Dill) appearances, including scheduling visits, coordinating eventlogisticsto support lead-generation and community engagement efforts, and overseeing the rotation and readiness of staff assigned to wear the mascot costume.
  • Adhere to all Association safety policies and procedures, with specific emphasis on youth protection, including avoiding one-on-one interactions,immediately reporting red-flag behaviors to a supervisor, and fulfilling all mandated reporter requirements.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Management, Business, Marketing,Communicationsor related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum oftwo-yearsof experience in customer service and/or sales preferred.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Extensive knowledge of membership practices and quality program development.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs. Prior knowledge ofSGA Pulseand Hub Spot  software is a plus.
  • Strong networking skills withabilityto build relationships with staff, members and community leaders in an effort to develop membership growth.
  • Strong time management, project management,and organizational skills with attention to detail.
