Livingston Public Schools is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Middle School Science Teacher for a leave replacement position at Heritage Middle School
, beginning November 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027
.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a valid New Jersey Middle School Science or High School Science certification appropriate for the assignment.
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of science content and effective instructional practices appropriate for middle school students.
• Create an engaging, student-centered learning environment that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.
• Develop and implement standards-aligned science instruction that supports diverse learners.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
• Utilize formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction and support student growth.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience with Open Sci Ed  is a plus.

• Appropriate New Jersey Teaching Certification In Middle School Science or High School Science.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, engaging science instruction.

Salary will be at Step 1 of the BA, MA, 2MA or D guide depending on the successful candidate's highest level of education in accordance with the LEA agreement, available on the district’s website ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).).
