The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Operates and assists in the monitoring of a patient on the Cardiothoracic Stepdown Unit. Administers individualized, professional patient care through efficient knowledge and safe practice of cardiothoracic step down unit procedures. Assumes responsibility for patient care and monitoring before, during and after procedures under the direction and supervision of an RN. Executes special assignments with the unit assigned to them by the clinical director, ADPC or RN.

Participates in quality improvement programs and inventory control. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.

Qualifications:

Required:

* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) required.

* Certified in Phlebotomy within 3 months of hire

Certifications and Licenses

Required:

* Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
