SummaryThe Foster Care Program Manager (PM) works to ensure that quality services are delivered within the TFBH and Contracted Foster Care Programs according to agency policy and all applicable state, federal and OCFS regulations. This includes the development of staff and ensuring the continuity and quality of service to youth, biological families and foster families. Knowledge of foster care and home finding are essential.
The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of departmental goals and programs. By demonstrating our values and delivering exceptional results, the incumbent will contribute to the Glove House high-performance culture. This ensures that Glove House remains a leading provider of child, family and behavioral health solutions. The Program Manager is directly accountable to the Director of Foster Care.
Job Functions
- Supervisory
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, coaching, training and evaluating staff.
- Provides overall oversight to the assigned foster care program, supervision of staff in the care of youth in accordance with all Glove House, state and regulatory requirements including regular, formal staff supervisions.
- Directly supervises Caseworkers and Home Finders, jointly supervises Nursing and Social Work for the designated program.
- Develops and maintains team meetings.
- Ensures, completes, and maintains client records and program documentation (self, staff, and youth), such as daily activities, referral, intake, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries/planning, according to Glove House program and regulatory standards.
- Ensures all documentation is completed in a timely fashion i.e., Connections, my Evolve, incident reports, safety plans and corrective action plans.
- Ensures staff are up to date with compliance and training requirements (physical, driver license, staff training etc.)
- Contributes to training of staff, participates in provision of agency-wide training.
- Operational
- Oversees the day-to-day operations of the foster care program including referrals of foster children, certifying and maintaining foster homes, crisis management, documentation of services and casework contacts.
- Completes all required reports and tracks data to meet goals for the program, including corrective action plans as needed.
