Pay Range: $120,000 to $190,000 per year

Pay Transparency:

The above pay range reflects the anticipated annual salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Schedule:

  • 3x12 hour shifts
  • No weekends, no Holidays

Job Overview:
The nurse practitioner functions as an independent care provider in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The care is characterized by comprehensive health assessments and management of patients with acute and/or chronic health problems in the Heart and Vascular services (cardiology, cardiac cath lab and non-invasive cardiology). Hospital APP coverage for Heart and Vascular patients.

Qualification:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of New Jersey
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey
  • Masters/Doctors prepared in Nursing from an accredited program
  • ACLS/BLS certified
  • Must have cardiac and/or critical care experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Scheduling Requirement:

  • 40 Hours

Essential Functions:

  • Conducts thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination and diagnostic test results
  • Develops and implements comprehensive care plans for patients undergoing cardiac procedures and/or admitted for further evaluation/treatment
  • Monitor patients, hemodynamic status, ordering, adjusting medications and interventions as needed
  • Provide pre and post procedure/ heart failure education and support to patients and their families
  • Facilitate discharges for heart and vascular service line patients
  • Provide education to staff and community regarding cardiac conditions and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, other NPs, nurses, and social workers
