The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

• Conducts thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examination and diagnostic test results
• Develops and implements comprehensive care plans for patients undergoing Heart and Vascular procedures and/or admitted for further evaluation/treatment
• Monitors patients hemodynamic status, ordering, adjusting medications and interventions as needed
• Provides pre and post procedure/heart failure education and support to patients and their families
• Facilitates discharges for cardiovascular service line patients
• Provides education to staff and community regarding cardiac conditions and procedures
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
• Works closely with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, other NPs, nurses, and social workers
• May perform other duties as assigned or directed by management
• Performs history and physicals, comprehensive assessments and manages the care of critically ill cardiac patients in the CCU
• Develops a plan of care in collaboration with the CCU multidisciplinary team (i.e., intensivist, attending cardiologist, medical resident, cardiology fellow, and CCU nurses) to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
• Manages acute and chronic cardiac conditions such as acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, cardiogenic shock, post-operative cardiac surgery recovery and mechanical circulatory support devices (e.g., IABP, Impella, ECMO)
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and medications, and performs advanced procedures within scope of practice and institutional protocols
• Monitors patient progress and adjusts care plans accordingly
• Participates in daily CCU rounds and assists with rapid response and code situations
• Communicates effectively with physicians, patients, families, and other team members, providing education and support throughout the care continuum
• Ensures timely and accurate documentation of clinical encounters, progress notes, orders, and care plans in the electronic medical record (EMR) as well as entry of procedural and time-based evaluation/management codes
• Contributes to unit-based quality improvement initiatives and clinical research as appropriate
• Complies with hospital policies, procedures, and all regulatory requirements
