Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery travel assignment requiring 2+ years of L&D experience, C-section circulator skills, and an active NJ or compact RN license.

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required
• Must be able to circulate for C-sections
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two current professional references required for consideration

• Night shift position working 3x12.5‑hour shifts (19:30–06:30)
• Labor & Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Unit serves an average daily census of approximately 19 patients across 26 rooms and beds, covering Antepartum, L&D, GYN, and Postpartum/Nursery
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Floating required to Antepartum, Postpartum, and PACU based on unit needs
• Every other weekend required based on unit needs
• No on‑call responsibilities
• Charting system is Epic;
  Pyxis used for medication management
• Provides nursing care across Labor & Delivery, with float coverage to Antepartum, Postpartum, and PACU as needed
• Blue scrubs are provided by the facility
• All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to an offer being extended
• Local candidates are accepted
• Former RWJBH staff (full‑time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
