• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• At least 2 years experience in Med/Surg Pulmonary Nursing.
• Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

• Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

• Per Diem.
• 2 – 12.5 hour shifts per month, both shifts on weekend.
• 1 – 12.5 hour Summer Holiday (Easter, July 4th, Labor Day).
• 1 – 12.5 hour Winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s).

• Organizes and administers individualized age‑specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
• Supports philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing.
• Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies.
• Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
