Registered Nurse (RN), Float Maternal Child (RN On Call Option
3) Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center – Livingston, NJ

Organize and administer individualized, age‑specific professional care to patients within the Maternal Child unit in support of medical care. Support the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practice in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies.

Participate in patient teaching, discharge planning, unit performance improvement activities, and other duties as assigned.

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
• Must float into Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby – Nursery, and Antepartum units
• At least 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery
• At least 2 years of experience in Postpartum/Nursery
• Completion of all orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center
• Current Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating
• Certification in specialty (e.g., Neonatology, Pediatric Critical Care)

• Per Diem
• 2 – 12.5 hour shifts per month, including weekend shifts
• 1 – 12.5 hour Summer Holiday shift (July 4th, Easter, Labor Day)
• 1 – 12.5 hour Winter Holiday shift (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
