School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Livingston, New Jersey

Make a real impact in a supportive school environment as a part-time Registered Nurse this upcoming academic year. This contract position is perfect for a dedicated RN passionate about fostering student wellness across all grade levels.

This opportunity involves working two days per week, 7 hours each day, onsite from 9am to 4pm, providing essential health services and care planning for the school community. The role begins August 10th and continues through June 2027.

• Active New Jersey RN license
• Prior experience in a school or pediatric healthcare setting is preferred
• Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with students of all ages
• Ability to train staff in epinephrine administration following NJDOE/NJDOH protocol
• Excellent organizational skills, especially for completing audits and managing health documentation
• Flexible, responsive, and able to handle on-call needs if required

• Serve as the general health nurse for the entire school
• Conduct and complete immunization audits for all students (30+) prior to September 9th
• Develop individualized emergency care plans based on student health forms
• Provide hands‑on training to staff as designated epinephrine delegates
• Act as a go‑to health resource and consult for the school community
• Remain available as an on‑call nurse for urgent needs if they arise
