American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a NICU-based float pool position requiring Level III NICU and PICU experience with active NJ or Compact licensure.

• NICU-based float pool position with floating to PICU, Peds, and NBN required without exception
• Appropriate patient assignment based on skill set provided when floated
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-8:00)
• 37.5 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Friday/Saturday/Sunday schedule except during holiday weeks
• Patient ratios vary based on unit, acuity, census, and staffing
• Patient population includes neonates less than 24-28 weeks gestation
• Facility may call off up to 1 shift per 2 weeks

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1.5 years of experience required
• Documented NICU Level III and PICU experience in employment history required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skills required:
  
  IV therapy, A-line management, Central Line/Implanted Line care, UAC/UVC management, IV vasopressors, steroids, and surfactants
• Skills required:
  
  dysrhythmia interpretation/management and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Skills required:
  
  feedings (bottle, breast, gavage) and placement/management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes
• Experience with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome required

• Provide care in a 56-bed Level III NICU that is a Regional Perinatal Center caring for more than 1,200 premature and ill newborns annually
• PICU provides comprehensive medical and surgical care with full-time pediatric critical care physicians and subspecialists
• Work in a 597-bed teaching hospital affiliated with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School
• Part of New Jersey's largest integrated healthcare system
• Scrub requirement: navy pants with pediatric top
• Holiday coverage required for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
