Job OverviewThe Stockroom Helper supports the daily operations of the stockroom by receiving, organizing, stocking, and distributing supplies and materials. This role ensures inventory is accurately maintained and readily available to meet department or customer needs, while maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the stockroom.
QualificationsRequired:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or stockroom setting is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic math and reading skills
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Familiarity with inventory systems or handheld scanners is a plus
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Shift - 7:00am to 3:00pm
- Monday - Friday including every other weekend and holiday
- Full Time / Day
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
- Stock shelves, bins, and storage areas in an organized and safe manner
- Pull, stage, and distribute supplies based on requisitions or orders
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and stock levels
- Assist with regular physical inventory and cycle counts
- Ensure the stockroom is clean, orderly, and free of hazards
- Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisor promptly
- Knowledge of using handheld scanners for reconning packages
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely
- Follow departmental procedures for handling and storage of materials
- Assist with loading/unloading delivery trucks as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
